For the warmer moments or casual afternoons at the beach, cafe or at a bbq with friends, the trend is all about short shorts. Guys have been trying desperately to avoid them since the late 80s, but they're back and bigger than ever in some great cuts, eye-popping colours and with the now synonymous rolled-up cuff. But the short short is not quite as short this year as we've seen in years such as 1998 when gay men led the charge for them. The short short now creeps above the knee... but not too far up.. in fact, the on-trend length is literally just above the knee. Look out for this look with matching thongs/flip flops and bold designer print t-shirts and block colour polos all over Australia this coming summer.

Far from being left out at this spring's Myer collection launch, the guys got a taste of a mix of styles. Out are the skinny jeans and equally skinny t-shirts and in are three-quarter trousers, tailored shirts with skinny ties (very 60's mod and bodgie looking) and as a complete removal from the girl's autumn pallate for this spring, the guys were almost monochrome in greys, charcoals and classic black blazers, trousers and ties.
