And this platform that was a result of the need to get the Commodore series of home computer more serious and graphics-capable was made completely obsolete when Microsoft's Windows came along and dominated computing for the next two decades. The Amiga X1000 system is coming out at a hefty $2000 and must be for serious fans of the old platform because no one really needs to pay that much for a desktop system anymore. But to be fair, you are getting a good bit of bang for your buck with;
This is one for the fans. It's never going to set the world on fire. And the operating system just doesn't have enough meat to keep the modern computer user going (not to mention the lack of software available for it). The rest of us can keep calm and carry on with our Windows and iDevices. For now.
