The Western Bulldogs have fined assistant coach STEVEN KING $5,000 after he was caught drink-driving in Geelong at the weekend. The former Cats ruckman has apologised and says he was stupid and irresponsible, and he's extremely disappointed with his conduct. KING blew .175 – more than three times the legal .05 limit – when he was picked up on the Princes Highway at Avalon just after 9am Sunday morning. Police reportedly pulled him over after getting reports of a car being driven erratically. His licence was immediately suspended for a year. The Bulldogs say the $5,000 club penalty will be donated to support victims of road trauma. KING, who lives at Ashburton, played 240 AFL games for the Cats and St Kilda and captained Geelong for four seasons. Picture: STEVEN KING during his heyday at Geelong
