Car smashes into funeral home

cops An alleged drink-driver's smashed through the front of a Bellarine funeral home.

The accident happened at William Sheahan Funerals at Drysdale in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The 20-year-old male driver from Drysdale's alleged to have recorded a blood-alcohol reading of .158, more than three times the legal limit.

The funeral home had just completed an extensive 6-month renovation and was due to re-open in weeks.

Damage is estimated at more than $80,000.
