An eight-year-old boy is being hailed a hero after helping to save the lives of his pregnant mum and his siblings from their burning Corio home.
The blaze started early yesterday afternoon, badly damaging the house in Chaffey Square.
Little AUSTIN MILLAR’s told the Herald Sun he was doing the dishes when he smelled smoke.
The youngster carried his 3-year-old brother Zac to safety before evacuating his mum and five other siblings.
He then raised the alarm with neighbours.
He’s told the paper he can get new toys, but not another brother.
