It seems the City of Greater Geelong still hasn't learned its parking metre lesson, after leaving the revenue raisers switched on during the ANZAC Day public holiday.
Last year the city copped a thrashing after revealing it hadn’t been switching meters off on public holidays, generating more than $150,000 in un-earned revenue.
But despite the PR disaster when the rip-off was revealed meters were again left on across Geelong yesterday.
The council says anyone who’s kept their parking ticket can take it City Hall for a full refund.
