A Corio woman jailed over the death of her de-facto partner has had her appeal against her sentence dismissed.

57-year-old KAREN DIANE BLACK was found guilty of defensive homicide last year after fatally stabbing WAYNE CLARKE.

She was jailed for nine-years with a minimum of six.

At the time Mr CLARKE’s sister denied her brother was an abuser and lashed out at the sentence as being inadequate.

BLACK could be freed within three years.
