While you were sleeping the petrol companies have been sneaking around to their service stations and jacking up prices, with some outlets in Geelong selling unleaded for $1.60 a litre this morning.
That's more than sixteen cents higher than they were selling it for yesterday.
One or two servos are still retailing unleaded at the old price of $1.44 but you'd want to get in quick to get it at that price.
Motoring groups are urging drivers to hold off filling up our cars until Monday, when the price is likely to start to fall again.
