Geelong’s Gordon TAFE could be one of the big causalities from what's tipped to be an ugly state budget.
It won't be officially released until tomorrow but it's expected to contain massive funding cuts for TAFEs like the Gordon, sparking fears that some regional TAFES will struggle to survive.
Jobs and some courses are almost certain to be cut.
Fines and state charges are also likely to rise.
But there is some good news for the region, with state Health Minister DAVID DAVIS confirming there'll be $93-million dollars to help continue the Geelong Hospital expansion:
