A siege in Grovedale's ended peacefully.

Police were called to a house in Bieske Road around 5pm yesterday, blocking off roads after a man threatened self harm.

Officers from Melbourne, including the Critical Incident Response Team and the dog squad have been involved, and it’s understood no-one else was inside the house at the time.

The incident was resolved without incident just before midnight.
