The men entered through the front door of the Bell Park Sports Club in Calvert Street in Hamyln Heights just before 9 o’clock on Thursday night, demanding cash from a staff member. One of the men was wearing a beanie pulled over his face and was carrying a knife, while the second man was not wearing a disguise. Staff say the man with the knife was wearing a Canberra Raiders jacket from 1994, and was particularly aggressive. The pair left after being given an unspecified amount of money. Police say no one was injured and they’ve now released an image taken from CCTV footage of the incident. Anyone with information about the incident or who recognizes the man in the picture is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppers.com.au. |
