A Melbourne man will face serious charges after allegedly being caught with drugs and a large amount of cash in Geelong.

Police say a patrol noticed the man acting suspiciously while he was parked out front of the Kardinia Cafe,near Kardinia Park, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The vehicle was searched and police say the officers discovered recreational drugs, a quantity of powder and a substantial amount of cash.

The 34-year-old from Melbourne’s west has been bailed to appear in court at a later date on charges including possession and trafficking.
