There are calls for the state and federal governments to help fund one of the region’s worst traffic bottlenecks.
Geelong councillors want help in paying for the $14-million project to duplicate Pioneer Road from the Princes Highway to Meadowvale Drive, as well as an upgrade of the intersection at the Princes Highway.
Several councillors say the road's poorly maintained and desperately needs the work, and Councillor ANDY RICHARDS says it's the worst traffic snarl in southern Geelong.
