The long-awaited installation of soccer lights is finally underway at Shell Reserve in Ocean Grove.
The $250,000 project is part of a larger master plan for the busy precinct that will include four netball courts and expanded car parking. Design work is also underway for a new pavilion that will be shared between the local football, soccer, netball and cricket clubs. City of Greater Geelong councillor JAN FARRELL sais the six light poles being erected this week will illumintae both soccer pitches to the level of semi-professional seniors’ training.
