Police are investigating an overnight house fire at Whittington.

CFA crews were called to the blaze on Aldrin Drive just after six last night and managed to control the fire within ten minutes.

No one was at home at the time.

They’ve been told witnesses saw children running from the house just after the blaze started.

Forensic experts will be on scene this morning to try and determine the cause of the fire.
