Geelong businessman FRANK COSTA says he’s not interested in having a tilt at becoming Geelong’s first popularly elected mayor.
But the former Cats president has thrown his support behind hardware store owner KEITH FAGG, saying he’s the stand-out candidate from the names that have come forward so far. COSTA would be a popular choice as a future mayor, not only for his success as a local businessman but for his devotion to the Geelong Football Club. Lawyer ANDREW SENIA says he’s seriously considering standing, and flamboyant millionaire and paparazzi king DARREN LYONS says he’ll make up his mind about whether to run when he moves back to Geelong in the next few months. Current Geelong mayor JOHN MITCHELL is still the only candidate to formally declare his interest in the job. Picture: Frank Costa
