A family of four has been rescued after a terrifying ordeal in which their car almost plunged over a cliff on the Great Ocean Road. The vehicle was travelling at Wattle Hill, just past Apollo Bay, at around 3:00pm when it was involved in an accident, coming to rest perched half way over the cliff edge. The female driver and her three children waited in terror as police and SES crews rushed to the scene. They've been removed from the car and emergency teams have managed to remove the vehicle form its precarious spot. Fortunately no-one's been injured.
