Four teenagers, including a 13-year-old Werribee boy, have been arrested over a police chase.

Police started pursuing the allegedly stolen car in Melton around 1 this morning before calling off the pursuit when it became too dangerous.

Officers from Sunshine found the car dumped in a creek at Ardeer Creek around half an hour later.

The 13-year-old boy is from Tarneit, a suburb of Werribee.

The three boys and a girl are also believed to be helping police with their investigation into an armed robbery at a Deer Park service station  overnight, as well as an incident in which a security guard was hit by a car after it sped off from a shopping centre at Sydenham.
