Thousands of golfing fans are expected to hit Thirteenth Beach next February, when the course hosts the 2013 Victorian Open.

Golf Victoria's chosen the club for the men's and women's tournaments.

The club says it's the first professional event it’s held and it’s hoping to lift the profile of the course.
