Geelong’s STEVE JOHNSON's in doubt for Friday night's clash against Hawthorn at the MCG.

The forward was concussed after receiving a heavy bump in the opening seconds of the Cats win over Adelaide at K-Park on Saturday.

Coach CHRIS SCOTT says STEVIE J seems pretty good, but it’s hard to tell, and they’ll have to wait until the end of the week.

But Geelong’s looking to get back JAMES PODSIADLY from injury, after recovering from an ankle injury he suffered in round 14.

SCOTT says they may look at playing three forwards, with JOSH WALKER playing an important role for the squad.
