Travis Varcoe could be back in the Geelong AFL squad before the end of the season.

He’s been out for the season due to a stress fracture in his foot, but returned via the VFL on the weekend.

VFL coach Matthew Knights says playing around 70 per cent the match without any immediate niggles or concerns is a good result.

Varcoe’s expected to play another match in the seconds before making an expected return to the senior squad.
