A police operation has seen guns seized from from premises linked to bikie gangs at Belmont, Werribee and Hoppers Crossing. All up detectives have collected more than 100 firearms from properties across the state that belong to or have ties with motorcycle gangs. The firearms seized include handguns and rifles. While most of the weapons seized were legally registered, police allege the owners were not fit to hold a shooter’s licence. At this stage it’s believed no charges have been laid. Detectives from the Echo Taskforce, along with regional investigators, have carried out the raids. |
