A Tarneit man is one of more than 50 people arrested in a major police operation across Melbourne’s west and north west suburbs.
The 27 year old allegedly caught stealing copper wiring from a construction site in Melton.
“A 27-year-old Tarneit man who allegedly stole copper wiring from a construction site on Taylors Road before fleeing in a vehicle at about 4.20am on Thursday 2 October,” a police statement said.

The police operation also saw a Werribee man charged with burglary and theft of firearms from a Melton property early this month.
