Extra train services will be made available for Cats fans heading to the AFL Preliminary Final at the MCG.
Geelong will be facing off against Brisbane from 5.15pm Saturday.
V/Line will be adding another six trains to the regular services.
Jimmy O’Connell from the Department of Transport said public transport was the way to go.
“We have an additional three services on top of the regular timetable running to and from Geelong,” he said.
“They’ll be around game time, it’s definitely the way to get into the MCG is via public transport.”
Mr O’Connell said there would also be metro services that would connect with V/Line trains.
Football fans can head to the V/Line website for service times and travel information.
