An investigation has been launched after a deep sink hole opened up at a popular walking track at Anglesea on Thursday morning.
It has been deemed a safety hazard, forcing the closure of the track from the Point Roadknight Beach car-park through to Guvvos Beach
The Surf Coast Shire is investigating what may have caused the sinkhole to appear.

However, the Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority has suggested a storm water draining running the sand dune may be to blame.
Guvvos Beach remains accessible via a walking track off Melba Parade, located between Eighth and Twelfth Ave.
