More schools across the Geelong region will introduce Auslan as a second language for 2024.
St Aloysius Primary in Queenscliff and Lara Primary School are among those taking up the sign language.
Other local primary and secondary schools are already teaching Auslan including Clonard College, which offers it as a VCE subject.

A number of kinders will also be bringing in Auslan into their learning from Term 1 next year.
The Victorian government says Auslan creates learning environments that value Deaf culture and promotes access and inclusion.
