CFA crews have responded swiftly to a large house fire in Bell Park late on Friday morning, causing severe damage to a brick building and garage.
Six crews were called to Furner Ave at about 11.15am to find the structure well alight.
Several callers to triple zero reported seeing flames issuing from the single-storey brick property, while people were seen in the backyard and neighbours were trying to extinguish the fire with a garden hose.
All residents were able to be evacuated with one male patient treated by paramedics at the scene.
The double garage of the property has been severely damaged and is threatening to collapse, with a neighbouring property also suffeirng minor damage.
CFA alongside FRV helped bring the blaze under control within about 15 minutes.
Police, paramedics and the relevant gas and power companies were also on scene.
Traffic was being diverted of Furner Ave with reports the road has since reopened.
It’s unclear at this stage what caused the fire.
