Six people have been taken to hospital after a skydiving plane came off the runway and came to a halt in Leopold on Friday morning.
Emergency were called to the Leopold side of Lake Connewarre, after reports a plane had come off the end of the runway from Barwon Heads Airport.
The plane was understood to be carrying over a dozen people and came off the runway just after 8am, with CFA, FRV, SES and Ambulance Victoria crews called to Matthews Road.
A CFA spokesperson has confirmed all passengers got out of the plane safely, with six taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
11 others have been assessed by paramedics at the scene.
The incident is ongoing with a heavy emergency service presence in the Leopold and Barwon Heads areas as investigations continue..
