Member for Lara Ella George is calling for public transport to Avalon airport.
Currently locals headed to Avalon are relying on private transport companies or driving.
George says it needs to change.
“I’ve launched a petition, and I we need locals to sign it,” she said.
“There’s thousands of people who work at that precinct, and hundreds use the airport, so getting public transport is more important than ever.”
She says as Avalon’s area continues to grow, it becomes more and more essential that the area has options to get people there.
“Whether you’re heading to work, or for a holiday, it should be easy to get there on cheap and reliable transport.
“I’m fighting for buses to serve both the terminal and the employment precinct, but I can’t do it alone.”
