A 47-year-old Maidstone man will front Geelong Magistrates Court today after a stash of drugs and cash were allegedly found in a shopping centre car park on Friday.
100-thousand dollars cash and commercial quantities of heroin and meth were discovered in a car in Geelong’s CBD.
“Police were called after security reported an allegedly stolen vehicle was observed arriving around 6.30pm on 15 August,” a statement said.
“The man and a woman who arrived in the vehicle were arrested as they left a store inside the Malop Street centre, allegedly with stolen clothing.
“A subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted, and police located over $100,000 in cash as well as drugs including what is alleged to be a commercial quantity of heroin and methamphetamine.’
The woman – 34-year-old from Corio – was released pending further enquiries.
