A Hamlyn Heights man has been charged over a fatal school bus crash in Stonehaven.
Emergency services were called to the Hamilton Highway on the morning of August 27, last year to reports a school bus had rolled.
Police believe the bus was turning onto the Highway from Friend in Hand Road when the incident happened.
Thirty-one students were on the bus at the time, but a 12-year-old girl from Teesdale died at the scene.
A 16-year-old boy was flown to hospital with serious injuries, while nine other students were injured and taken to hospital.
Fourteen students were taken to hospital for observation.
The bus driver, a 76-year-old man, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
He has been charged today with dangerous driving causing death, failing to stop at a stop sign and careless driving.
The Hamlyn Heights man has been bailed to face court next week.
