An elderly man who failed to return to a Cavendish campground north of Hamilton may have been in Geelong overnight.
Ronald left the campsite around 4am Thursday and was hearing to Stawell.
Police say the 82-year-old contacted his wife later in the morning and told her he would return to the campground but did not arrive.
Officers say enquiries have found Ronald bought something at the Apco in North Geelong around 10pm Thursday.
Ronald is in a grey Nissan Patrol with registration CRB-763, and was wearing a black top, blue shorts and black sandals.
He is described as being around 182cm tall, with grey hair and a beard.
There are concerns for his welfare with police saying his disappearance and being in Geelong is out of character.
Anyone who sees Ronald is being urged to call Triple 0, while those with information on his whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
