New figures show a rise in crime on or near school grounds.
Data from the Crime Statistics Agency show there were 286 incidents in and around schools in the Geelong region in the 12 months to March.
It shows there were 54 non-aggravated burglary incidents, with 43 reports of criminal damage.

There were more than 300 in Wyndham, according to the stats in the Herald Sun.
Sixty-three of those were for theft, while another 51 were for for common assault.
The Education Department has warned there is zero tolerance for violence.
