Construction start for new schools

Construction on two new schools in Geelong and Wydham is due to start mid year.

The tentatively named Horseshoe Bend Primary School will cater to Charlemont families and be designed to have a 525 student capacity.

Tarneit Plains Primary is in the interim name for the new school in Truganina that will take 575 students, with 50 places reserved for students with disability.

The Victorian government says tenders to build the new schools will open early this year ahead of an expected construction start date around the middle of 2024.
