Could Drysdale’s pool soon be open year-round?

Geelong councillors could decide this week whether to support moves to keep Drysdale’s outdoor pool open all year.

The North Bellarine Aquatic Centre officially opened late last year, but is set to close at the end of March for winter.

The city says it is because of the high cost of keeping it running through the freezing weather.

It is due to reopen in November.

Some locals have pushed for the pool to remain open during the colder months.

Mayor Trent Sullivan has indicated he will introduce a motion at tomorrow night’s meeting on the matter.
