Geelong council is looking to tap millions in state govenment funds for an upgrade to the Landy Field Pavilion.

Half of the money needed for the $10 million project is being sought from the Council Support Package for regional Victorian cities that were to host the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The package is specifically designed for projects that will create the types of infrastructure legacy outcomes that would have come with the games, and is being shared with Bendigo, Ballarat, Latrobe and Shepparton.
