Geelong councillors will vote on whether to apply for federal funding to build female friendly change rooms at Hamlyn Park which is home of the Bell Park Football & Netball Club.
A special meeting has been called for Wednesday night.
A report has recommended the city apply for a $1.5 million grant through the federal government’s Play Our Way program.
The council will also put in $200,000 towards the project.
CEO Alie Wastie said the project met the federal criteria.
“Council will carefully consider the report on Wednesday night before making a decision on whether to support an application and co-contribution of $200,000,” she said.
Applications for the federal program close on April 29.
It comes after the city prioritised state government funding for Elderslie Reserve earlier this year over Hamlyn Park.
