The Bureau of Meteorology has again warned of wild weather heading to Geelong and the Surf Coast.
A Severe Weather Warning has been declared for much of the state’s south-west, expected to hit our central region on Tuesday afternoon.
The Bureau has forecast strong winds averaging 50 to 60 km/h, with damaging gusts of around 90 km/h.
It coincides with a Coastal Hazard Warning, with abnormally high tides expected across Victoria due to the cold front.
Locals have been warned that tides are likely to rise well above the normal levels during Tuesday and Wednesday evening’s high tide.
The weather bureau said this may lead to sea water flooding in low-lying areas.
Tuesday is forecast to hit a top of 15 degrees, with a shower or two predicted.
Wednesday is set to be colder and wetter, Geelong not expected to get warmer than 11 degrees, while it’s possible the city could see up to 10mm of rain.
