A section of the Surf Coast Highway will be closed for a month while crews work to return it to its original alignment.
Authorities say the Highway will be closed between the level crossing and Baanip Boulevard between February 9 and March 7.
Drivers are being warned of delays of up to 30 minutes, with several detours in place for motorists.
The works follow the installation of the rail bridge to remove the level crossing.
Motorists are being urged to plan ahead during the time closure.
