CFA volunteers are preparing to give up their time on Good Friday, raising money for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Local brigades have been supporting the appeal for the last 50 years, raising more than $7 million.
They will be out on local streets again, rattling tins.
Lara’s Emily Cooke is one of the faces of the Appeal this year, spending time with members of the Geelong West Brigade.
The 10yo is battling a rare brain tumour that cannot be surgically removed.
However it has not stopped her from playing sport including cricket and soccer.
Emily also discovered what it takes to become a firefighter during the tour on Wednesday.
Some of the money raised this year will be going towards regional hospitals including University Hospital Geelong.
