A Wyndham teenager has been arrested after doing a burnout on a dirt bike in front of police.

The rider was spotted on Point Cook Road around 8.30pm Thursday, when officers say the 19-year-old looked at them and performed the burnout and lost traction.

He then took off down Sneydes Road and Duncans Road, allegedly running a number of red lights in Werribee.

The teenager has been bailed to face a Werribee court in July, while the dirt bike has also been impounded.
