No clean getaway for a couple after a stolen car was tracked to a Werribee car-wash last night.
Police first spotted the Ford Territory allegedly speeding in Williamstown.
“Officers on patrol first caught sight of a stolen silver Ford Territory driving on Kororoit Creek Road in Williamstown about 11.35pm,” police said in a statement.
“The Ford was spotted driving over the speed limit in the vicinity of the Princess Hwy in Werribee before pulling into a carwash on Hooker Road.
“A man and a woman allegedly fled from the vehicle before the Ford took off from the scene.”
A 26-year-old Wyndham Vale woman is expected to be charged on summons while a 38 year old man remains in custody.
