A cult food favourite in Geelong is set to close its doors for good after 10 years.
Pistol Pete’s Food N Blues has been on Little Malop Street for the last decade, but its owners have announced on social media they made the very difficult decision to close on June 30.
They said that will be when the lease was up on the premises.
“The struggle to maintain the businesses’ viability has been ongoing for quite a while and we have tried our best to work through the many challenges that have landed on our doorstep, with a positive attitude & a smile on our faces,” owners Pete and Kerri wrote.
“As we are seeing all too often lately, many food & music venues are closing due to economic circumstances & changes in the way people choose to socialise & entertain themselves.
“From the increase in the cost of living, the cost of goods, insurances, staffing, power & gas and the decrease in customers and the amount they spend, we too have had to take a hard & honest look at where we are & what we need to do going forward.”
