Free two-hour parking in Geelong’s CBD has ended.
The 12 month trial proved popular for locals, workers and visitors, however the City of Greater Geelong found it did not bring in the economic activity to businesses as hoped.
The trial concluded on Saturday, with those coming into the CBD finding they had to pay from Monday, either via the mobile app, or using a parking meter.

The council says it will use the data gathered over the last 12 months to help develop a comprehensive parking plan, that considers the needs of all residents across the municpality.
