Police are after two drivers who allegedly taunted a woman driving along the Midland Highway in Gheringhap and Bannockburn, at one stage throwing items at he car.

Geelong police say the woman was in her Toyota Prado when she was approached from behind by two cars along Bakers Bridge Road just after 9pm Tuesday night.

Officers believe the two vehicles were a blue Ford Falcon sedan and a black BMW 220i coupe.

The cars reportedly followed the woman before the Ford stopped in the middle of the road, forcing her to take evasive action.

The woman continued on but police say she noticed the two vehicles parked on the median strip at the intersection of Bakers Bridge Road and Midland Highway in Gheringhap, with two men standing beside them.

Officers say as the woman attempted to make a turn onto Midland Highway, the two men ran towards the victim’s car and attempted to open the doors but they were locked.

She then drove off, but the men continued to follow behind as they drove west along the Midland Highway.

It’s understood the Ford travelled alongside the woman and swerved in towards her repeatedly, before overtaking the victim and waiting at the intersection of Midland Highway and Geelong Road and Bannockburn, throwing items at the woman’s Prado as it turned left onto Geelong Road.

Both vehicles then overtook the victim again travelling along Geelong Road heading towards Bannockburn, where they stopped in both lanes, forcing the victim to drive off the road to avoid them.

The woman has then driven to the police station where the men fled the scene, fortunately she wasn’t injured during the incident.

Police are looking for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam footage to contact Bannockburn Police Station.
