Yesterday’s strong winds saw damage recorded at properties across the region, with trees coming down on the Bellarine Peninsula, and emergency services responding to calls for assistance across the area.

Gusts of up to 80km an hour were recorded at Geelong racecourse, while Airey’s Inlet saw more than 100km an hour gusts yesterday afternoon.

Just over 12 mills of rain fell in the area as well.

Saturday will be the warmest day of the week with temperatures at 15 on a mostly sunny day.
