Racing has been called off at the 2025 Geelong Cup as wild winds hit the region, with remaining races rescheduled for Thursday.
The events will run as follows:
- Race 1 BM66 Handicap – 2.25pm
- Race 2 Geelong Classic – 3.00pm
- Race 3 BM70 Handicap – 3.35pm
- Race 4 Geelong Cup – 4.10pm
- Race 5 Dual Choice Plate – 4.50pm
- Race 6 BM78 Hcp (MCC Series Heat) – 5.30pm

An indefinite delay was announced around 2:15pm, before the cancellation was confirmed at 3pm.
Patrons were evacuated from marquees on track.
Gusts of up to 87km/h were recorded at the Geelong Racecourse at 2:40pm, with these conditions expected to continue until at least 5pm.
