Concerns around drink and drug driving across the region as part of operation scoreboard.
Police nabbing 17 drivers across Geelong and the Surf Coast fro driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the for day operation.
Police also catching 146 drivers speeding in that time.
Across the state more than five thousand offences were recorded in Victoria, with one in every 555 people who were breath tested found to be driving under the influence.
The message from road safety assistant commissioner Glenn Weir a simple one – if you think you can drink or take drugs and drive – think again.
