Geelong Pride Film Festival kicking off

The Geelong Pride Film Festival kicks off on Thursday, the seventh edition of the local event which celebrates diversity in film.

Films to be shown at Village Geelong – The Pivotonian Cinema and Platform Arts up until April 28.

Organisers say it has grown to become one of the largest film festivals in the Geelong Region, with tickets to screenings available for just under $10.

“Each year in April we screen a selection of feature films and short films across multiple venues in the Geelong region,” a spokesperson said.

“Our programming content focuses on positive and uplifting films that celebrate the lives of diverse LGBTIQ+ people.”
