A Thunderstorm Asthma advice has been issued for areas including Geelong and the Surf Coast.

The Victorian Health Department says the risk is listed as ‘high’ for the Central, West and South Gippsland districts.

It can be triggered by high amounts of grass pollen and storms, and there is a chance people may develop asthma symptoms over a short period of time.
